Play Therapy for Children

Play is the language of children – this is why Nurturing Mamas Network has staff who are fully trained and credentialed as Registered Play Therapists. Becoming a Registered Play Therapist takes advanced training in Child Centered Play Therapy and a firm knowledge of young child development. Play Therapy is more than playing with children, it is understanding what a child is showing you through their play, following their lead throughout their play and helping to enhance their ability to make sense of their world through play. Our clinicians have worked hard to become Registered Play Therapists and we take pride in offering Play Therapy solely by clinicians who are Registered Play Therapists or are licensed clinicians seeking to become Registered Play Therapists.

Play therapy is a great tool for children who are not able to sit still in a chair for an hour and engage in talk therapy.
