Content Description:
This training is designed to equip therapists with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques in the treatment of perinatal mental health concerns. This includes a review of both the theory behind DBT, and examples of how to use and apply many of the core DBT skills.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
Apply 3 core principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy to perinatal mental health treatment.
Identify the core skills modules of DBT and 3 ways it can help the perinatal population
Teach 2 core skills of Radical Acceptance and Dialectical Thinking
Explore 2 or more case studies and practical applications of DBT in perinatal therapy.
