The Nurturing Mamas Network Training Institute has trained thousands of clinicians in Advanced Perinatal Mental Health since 2022.

Target Audience: behavioral health and social workers who serve in the role of counseling/therapy. 

Clock Hours: 3

This Intermediate Level program will discuss theories, techniques, and interventions available for client’s struggling with pregnancy loss.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

1. Identify and apply 3 interventions to facilitate healing.

2. List 2 different types of perinatal loss and 2 emotional implications of each.

3. Apply at least 2 grief theories to creating 2 treatment goals

4. Explain 2 ways that perinatal loss is a unique type of grief compared to other grief

Presenter: Bina Bird, LMFT, PMH-C

Bina is a trainer at Nurturing Mamas Network. With over 15 years of experience, Bina has seen a wide range of clients within the focus of women’s mental health. She has attended basic and advanced trainings through PSI, the Postpartum Stress Center, and is Certified in Perinatal Mental Health. She is trained and knowledgeable in serving families who may be dealing with the emotional and relational struggles that may accompany infertility, pregnancy or infant loss, perinatal mood and/or anxiety disorders, birth trauma, and more.

This interactive synchronous distance/live interactive(live virtual) webinar is offered on zoom on the dates listed below. Please note: registration must be completed by 10:00 p.m. CST on the day before your scheduled training session. This live webinar takes place on Zoom and is fully interactive. Attendees may ask and answer questions throughout the presentation and participate in instructor- led discussions. Course completion requirements: behavioral health and social workers must attend the entire course and complete a course evaluation to be eligible for ce credit. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 2 business days of course completion.
