This Advanced Level will discuss The Impact of Sexual Trauma Within the Reproductive Period & Symptoms: Incorporating Trauma-Informed Care and Medical Advocacy to Clinical Work is designed for mental health providers seeking to deepen their clinical understanding of how sexual trauma uniquely impacts clients during the reproductive period. This training examines common trauma-related symptoms that may emerge or intensify across this stage, with attention to how these presentations can influence assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Participants will explore the role of stigma in shaping client experiences and clinical dynamics, including barriers to disclosure, engagement, and care. Grounded in trauma-informed principles, the course also introduces practical approaches to medical advocacy, including how to effectively utilize advocacy letters to support clients in accessing reproductive and healthcare services.
By integrating clinical insight with actionable tools, this training supports mental health professionals in providing more responsive, informed, and affirming care to trauma survivors during the reproductive period.
