This presentation focuses on giving clinicians a well rounded understanding of sexual trauma & how it may impact various aspects of the reproductive period. Included is a discussion around stigma, signs of trauma, the stages of trauma, & how sexual trauma can be addressed within the therapeutic working environment.

Participants will be able to:
Verbalize an understanding of different areas within the reproductive period where trauma, specially sexual trauma, may present itself.
Utilize one (1) or more clinical interventions that can be applied within the reproductive period for those who have been impacted by sexual trauma.
Identify one (1) or more ways to increase safety in the therapeutic relationship
Utilize one(1) or more Interventions that can be used to address common stigmas, fears, myths around the reproductive period and the impact of sexual violence and trauma
Identify one (1) or more ways to manage vicarious trauma
